Our Annual Member Show is September 30th – November 23rd 2024.
The show will be held at HD South. Home of the Gilbert Historical Museum, 10 S Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296. Questions about the show can be directed to hello2@gval.org
The art will hang in the visitors area hallway at HD South. During that time, if your art sells, you will receive 80% of the listed price and HD South will receive 20%. The online show will continue until the end of January. You may choose to leave your art in the online show, or request that it be removed from gval.org at any time after the gallery show ends. If an art purchase results from the online sale after the gallery show ends, the artist will receive 80% and Gilbert Visual Art League will receive 20% of the listed price.
Eligibility
This show is open to all GVAL members 18 or older who are current in their annual dues. Original art may be in 2- or 3 -dimensional form in any media and may be current or art created in past years. GVAL reserves the right to refuse any and all artwork submitted. Artwork must be the artist’s original concept, design and execution. Prints of the artist’s original work, including giclee, will not be accepted. Artwork created in a class or workshop setting is not eligible.
2 dimensional artwork must be framed OR gallery wrapped (1 1/2″ minimum depth) with no visible staples. Gallery wrapped pieces must have finished edges. Artwork must be WIRED to hang and may not weigh more than 10 lbs. Sawtooth hangers will not be accepted.
3 dimensional works must be able to stand on their own, or hang in a safe manner. If your piece requires a stand you will need to provide it and the size restrictions below must be followed.
Space is limited!
• Because of limited space, Art is limited to ONE (1) piece of art up to 24” framed.
• Deadline for submission is Monday, September 23rd.
• Art Drop off is Monday, September 30th from 9:30am – 11am in the HD South Lobby
• A reception will be Monday September 30th from 6:00-8:00pm
• Pick up Art is Monday November 25th (time TBD).
Artwork must be appropriate for family viewing in regard to theme, character and design.
Artwork must be available for the full term of the exhibition. Once selected, no substitutions will be accepted. All artwork accepted into the show will also be available online through gval.org.
