New place to hang some artwork!
We have an opportunity to have work shown at Bergie’s Coffee house on Gilbert Road! It’s a little house with a few walls and some space in the bathrooms (for the captive crowd). Even though it’s small, the place has a lot of business every morning. Choose work that has good contrast since the lighting isn’t the greatest inside. Also pieces that are smaller than 18 x 24 would work best. Since there is limited space, I will take the artists on a first come, first serve basis. The artwork will hang for a couple months.
As a fun way to get exposure, I am also arranging a small artist’s reception with a few sweet snacks. It will be on Friday, May 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. For that evening’s reception, I also thought it would be nice to display some artwork in the courtyard for those interested. It’s pretty with a fountain and tables/chairs. You could set up a little table to put artwork on. Joe’s Barbeque is next door so folks may drift over after dinner.
I know it’s last minute, but if you want to display inside or for reception (in the courtyard), let me know ASAP. If you are interested in helping organize this in anyway, let me know that too. I will be there to hang the art and do set up on that Friday, May 28 between 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. See you then!
