Chairperson’s Summer Recap

Greetings All!

If you didn’t make it out to the Ice Cream Sundae Social last evening, you missed out! We had a great time with a mini art show, ice cream, Pictionary, and prizes! Maybe we’ll see you there next time?

Over the summer, the board would like you to think about what you would like to do with GVAL next year. Besides the annual show and venues: Would you like more hands on lectures? Would you like more paint outs? More social gatherings? Please think it over and send us your comments. You can also contact any board member with suggestions. We want the club to be a fun and educational place for all. I am working to get a plein aire group out to the Superstitions, but that probably won’t happen until 2010.

Don’t forget—Grappling with Grays. Over the summer choose a subject with lots of low tones and shadows to stretch your use of colors to depict gray within the painting. Those art works will be shown and talked over at the September meeting. Prizes will be awarded.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. The board and art show committed will still be in contact with each other and meeting over the summer.

Goodbye for the summer,
Michelle Cornelius
GVAL Chairperson
