Annual Art Show

8th Annual Fine Art Show in November 2010

The GVAL 8th annual Fine Art Show returns to the Gilbert Historical Museum on November 6, 2010 and runs through November 20, 2010. The show is open to all artists and includes a non-juried youth division for ages 14 and under. Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded including Best of Show and Peoples Choice.

It is easy to enter your artwork into the show:

1. Download the call for entry and fill it out.

2. Submit a JPG for each piece that is a maximum size of 72-DPI and 10” x 6” via email or on one PC compatible CD. Each image must be labeled with the title of the piece.

3. Mail the completed entry form with the CD of your piece(s) (if not submitted by email) and the entry fee. Email JPGs to: GilbertArt@USA.com.

We are also accepting youth and student entries, download the youth call for entry, complete it, and mail it along with a CD of the piece(s). Youth entrants can also email a JPG of the piece(s). All entries must be postmarked by October 1, 2010. Acceptance letters will be mailed out beginning on October 15, 2010.

Artists and art enthusiasts are welcome to mingle with the artists at the show reception on Friday, November 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Light appetizers and drinks will be served.

2009 Fine Art Show Recap

The GVAL 7th annual Fine Art Show was held at the Gilbert Historical Museum from November 14, 2009 through December 5, 2009. The show was open to all artists. Ribbons and cash prizes will were awarded at the reception on Sunday, November 22. This year’s show was judged by Dustin Van Wechel. Dustin’s work has been exhibited all throughout the US, including one-man shows and major art exhibitions, and the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s Western Visions show in Jackson, Wyoming.
