Lee Anne Park will be honored as the featured artist by the board the Arizona Art Alliance on Saturday 3/10/12 – 6-9 PM at their reception “Spring in to Art”.

The Arizona Art Alliance Art Gallery is located at The Pavilions at Talking Stick – 9011 E. Indian Bend – Scottsdale, AZ 85250 – Phone 602-870-7610 (Between Hobby Lobby and Sports Authority)

A special introduction of featured artist Lee Anne Park will be the highlight of the evening. Over 125 additional juried Arizona artists are participating in this show which is scheduled from March 8th through April 1st. The gallery gift shop offers a varied selection of unique art items priced under $150. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.

The Arizona Art Alliance is honoring Lee Anne not only because of her commitment and dedication to the Alliances’ outreach programs but also to recognize her professional art and sales contributions to the organization over the past decade.

As home to 34 member art organizations with over 4,500 valley artists, the Alliance continues its mission of impacting the community and aiding the less fortunate with art programs for disadvantaged, mentally and physically-challenged children and seniors. Lee Anne Park has been instrumental over the past 14 years in leading the Desert Artists’ Art League. She has coordinated and implemented that league’s outreach program “Extra Special Art”. Ms. Park has also been an inspiration in other Alliance outreach programs with her art mentoring through the Alliances’ efforts with the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. She was one of the first participant art teachers for the Alliances’ art for seniors programs. As president and project director of the Desert Artists’ “Extra Special Art Program”, she has taught other artists how to teach and participate.

She strives to share the joy of art with children so that they can sense the world through the lens of artistic creativity. Her dedication to hundreds of children and adults has given them a freedom of expression and a better outlook to overcome their adversity. Lee Anne pursues every aspect of art forms and media and shares these creative processes with both students and teachers connected to the outreach programs. She is always the first to volunteer, never hesitant to lead and is always willing to share.

Her art career has spanned the decades and she has studied with many well-known artists in the world of wildlife. She incorporates research with taxidermists and takes photography trips around the country to study her wildlife subjects for her art work. Lee Anne captures the intensity and life-force moment in each of her subjects while applying the media of choice with her skill. She has painted special illustrations for Audubon Arizona and has received their Great Egret Award. Please come to meet this benevolent artist and view her paintings and scrimstones. Her work will be on display from March 8th through April 1st 2012 at the Arizona Art Alliance Gallery.
