The first annual “Fine Art Festival” in Gilbert will be held at Water Tower Park on November 13 (in conjunction with the Gilbert Days parade). Spaces are available free to GVAL members and for a small fee to non-member artists. Contact Diane Fales, dfales1@cox.net, for more information.

Sandra Wilderman is teaching a class at Jerry’s Artarama, “New Techniques with Traditional Watercolor.” The class focuses on techniques with transparent watercolor, creating texture, using resists, mixing colors and composition. The four classes are on Saturday and Sunday October 9,10,16 and 17 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $125.
