Stored in News, Show opportunities

We are glad to announce that we now have contact information and instructions for artists who want to hang their art at SW Regional Library (at Greenfield and Guadalupe Roads in Gilbert). Elizabeth Cress-Sweet attended our January 2010 meeting. She told us a bit about show opportunities offered by the town of Gilbert and answered our questions. Elizabeth is the artist liaison for the library as well as many of the town’s other art venues including the courts building. You should contact her directly (see below) if you wish to display at the library or anywhere else that is associated with the Town of Gilbert.

Elizabeth also told us about a special show coming up to celebrate Martin Luther King Day. Artists are welcomed to submit pieces depicting civil rights, slavery, or their interpretation of MLK or the Civil Rights Movement. Contact Elizabeth for more info on this opportunity.

Elizabeth, we are so glad to finally meet you. We look forward to a creating a relationship with you and working with you to display and share our art with the town.

If your interested in showing your work, please also read the library’s Assumption of Risk document.
